Read Well TM

Read Well is a unique research-based reading program that combines systematic phonics, mastery-based learning, and rich content. From the beginning, children develop strong decoding skills, comprehension strategies, and sophisticated content knowledge. Teachers across the country are reporting higher test scores and happier, more literate students.

On-site Training
A Read Well consultant/trainer will travel to your school or district and conduct a two-day training session for primary teachers, Title I and special educators, administrators, or anyone looking for an effective and balanced approach to early reading. It is the school's or district's responsibility to obtain the required materials before the training. Up to 40 people can attend one session.

Regional Training
Two-day Regional Trainings, which are open to the public, are designed for primary teachers, Title I and special educators, administrators, or anyone looking for an effective and balanced approach to early reading.

Regional Training participants will receive hands-on training in:

  • Current scientific reading research
  • Implementation of Read Well
  • Context of Read Well
  • Research-based reading strategies

Participants must either purchase or bring their own Instructor Materials.

Training of Trainers
Participants of a three-day Training of Trainers workshop will leave with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct a two-day Read Well training session, to coach Read Well implementers, to provide technical assistance to Read Well schools/planning teams, and to deliver a Read Well awareness session.

Training of Trainers participants will receive advanced level, hands-on training in:

  • Current scientific reading research
