Professional development sessions for Transitional Mathematics examine the unique structure of the program and describe the research behind TransMath's design. Educators learn how TransMath addresses the diverse needs of low-achieving students at all ability levels. Multiple-day implementation and follow-up trainings ensure that the TransMath materials are used to their utmost potential at every site.
Implementation Training
This three-day session focuses on an in-depth program overview, ultimate goals, outcomes and placement procedures, assessment methods, and classroom management techniques. Educators leave the training fully prepared and ready to teach all three levels of the TransMath program.
Follow-Up Consultation
Follow-up training is available and can be conducted immediately after an implementation training or later in the year, depending on school/district needs. This consultation training is meant to support and help educators who already use the TransMath materials.
